Massage Therapy

Massage therapy provides comfort, relief, and relaxation for hospice patients. WVH’s licensed massage therapists use techniques based on the patient’s individual needs. Massage therapy for hospice patients is different from the standard approach, focusing on easing pain instead of more vigorous methods, such as deep tissue work.

What is Massage Therapy?

Massage therapy is helpful in relieving physical and emotional symptoms such as pain, anxiety and depression. Massage therapy is one of WVH’s efforts to help patients to live the highest quality of life possible.

Massage Therapy is one of WVH’s Hospice Plus programs generously supported by community donations and not reimbursable by insurance or Medicare.
