Your Impact:

As our Outreach & Marketing Manager, you will be responsible for fostering collaborative relationships with referral sources and the community, educating both existing and potential referral sources about WVH services, and actively seeking out new opportunities that will increase patient census in fulfilling WVH's mission.

Essential Functions/Major Responsibilities

  • Creating and maintaining the organization’s business development plan.
  • Identifies, establishes, supervises, and maintains relationships with potential and current referral sources in the agency’s service area.
  • Supervises and supports the business development team, which includes a marketing specialist, a community liaison, and an outreach coordinator, fostering a collaborative and results-driven work environment.
  • Plans community outreach and marketing activities including community education, advertising, and branding of all agency-related materials.
  • Represents agency at community organization events and business functions as needed.
  • Conducts presentations to target populations within agency service area.
  • Assists community development department in identifying and soliciting sponsorships from clinical contacts and existing community partners.
  • Monitors, prepares, and communicates reports on referral statistics, productivity, other marketing reports and marketing materials as needed. Ensures referral database is current and accurately reflects business development activities.
  • Participates in strategic planning and problem solving as it relates to marketing and community education.
  • Identifies innovative ideas and tactics by researching industry and related events, publications, and announcements, thus identifying new business opportunities.

Education/Experience/Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in marketing, contracting, business or related field required. Master’s Degree preferred.
  • Minimum of two years of business development experience required, preferably in community health.
  • Minimum of two years of experience supervising employees.
  • Knowledge of post-acute care, community relations and home care trends, payor contracting, and payment issues.
  • Must be confident and comfortable in public speaking.
  • Computer literacy required.
  • Experience with EMR systems, marketing software, business analytics, and Vendor Credentialing Systems.
  • Must successfully pass a pre-hire drug test.
  • Must successfully pass a background check and references check.

Certification/Licensure

  • Must have a current driver's license, dependable transportation, and proof of current automobile insurance.
  • Must be able to safely drive own vehicle.
  • Must be vaccinated against COVID 19 – proof of vaccination required.

Job Conditions

Working in a variety of office, senior community, hospital, and clinic settings. This position does require in-office work and is not a fully remote position. Driving is required to meet with community partners and referral sources where they are located and attend business development meetings and events as required. Poor driving conditions during inclement weather are possible.
