Willamette Vital Health, your local nonprofit that helps families through one of the most difficult times in life — losing a loved one — is searching for an enthusiastic Fundraising & Events Coordinator.

This is a part-time position working 24-32 hrs per week: Monday, Wednesday, Thursday, Friday.

The Role:

The Fundraising & Events Coordinator is a key member of Willamette Vital Health’s community development team and helps coordinate the agency’s signature events as well as maintain and expand support of our corporate event sponsors. The coordinator works collaboratively and cooperatively with the community development team and across departments to facilitate high-quality events and strong community engagement.

Who You Are:

Your Impact. Your professionalism and experience with coordinating fundraising and educational events, writing sponsorship packages and other fundraising collateral, as well as building and fostering relationships with corporate partners will gain needed trust, support, and sponsorship for WVH special events and fundraising campaigns.

Requirements:

  • High School Diploma or equivalent required; Bachelor’s degree preferred.
  • 2-year minimum demonstrated and verifiable successful experience in nonprofit event planning, sponsorship development and donor stewardship.
  • Proficient in using database systems, word processing, presentation, email computer applications (MS Office Suite) and social media.
  • Experience with DonorPerfect or similar CRMs a plus.
  • Strong writing ability to compose and articulate a clear, compelling case for support verbally and in writing.
  • Strong interpersonal skills and the proven ability to take direction, work independently and collaboratively.
  • Knowledge of hospice helpful.
  • Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with team members, corporate representatives, donors, volunteers, and the public.
  • Works effectively in a team environment.
  • Ability to work collaboratively and independently.
  • Ability to work with multiple disciplines and individuals.
  • Must relate to patient and grieving families in an open, empathetic, and supportive manner while maintaining personal and professional boundaries.
  • Ability to motivate others.
  • Takes personal responsibility/accountability for work and meets deadlines.
  • Attention to detail and timely follow-through.

Responsibilities:

  • Work in collaboration with the Community Development Manager
  • Take charge of event logistics, crafting programs, securing venues, and conducting meticulous research
  • Compose and coordinate the production of materials that shine.
  • Put your organizational prowess to work by staffing events, ensuring seamless setup and breakdown, working side by side with staff and volunteers, and troubleshooting any unexpected challenges that arise.
  • Utilize our CRM system to maintain accurate event records and document valuable attendee feedback.
  • Steward current corporate donors and individuals and develop new relationships for the purpose of increasing sponsorship and donor support.
