Massage Therapist (Part-Time)

As a part-time Massage Therapist, you will provide comfort for hospice patients in the home or care facility setting 16 hours per week. As an integral member of the interdisciplinary team, you will be able to work two, 8-hour days, flexing between Monday, Thursday, and Friday each week.


  • Provides massage therapy that is individualized, goal directed and consistent with current standards of practice as well as hospice philosophy, focusing on needs of patient and family
  • Focuses on pain relief, relaxation, stress reduction, and energy conservation
  • Collaborates with members of the interdisciplinary hospice team in planning physical treatments identified in the plan of care
  • Provides education and information that facilitates self-care, health maintenance and wellness
  • Relates to patient and families in an open, empathetic and supportive manner while maintaining personal and professional boundaries


  • Licensed Massage Therapist by the State of Oregon
  • Successful completion of a full curriculum in an accredited massage therapy school
  • Minimum of one year of experience, preferably in a health care setting
  • CPR certification required.
  • Ability to learn new EMR program and other computer software easily.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.
  • Knowledge of hospice concepts
  • Must have current Oregon driver’s license, dependable transportation, and proof of current automobile insurance.
