Volunteer Training
Willamette Valley Hospice provides a comprehensive volunteer training that qualifies you to become a Willamette Valley Hospice volunteer and part of the hospice team. You will gain an understanding of the death and dying process and insight into grief and bereavement.
Whether you currently work with grief and loss or desire the opportunity to learn more about how people grieve, this training will help you to work effectively with terminally ill and grieving people. Registered nurses, medical social workers, and therapists will conduct the training, as well as experienced hospice staff and volunteers.
As part of our strong commitment to the communities we serve, training is free and offered at various times throughout the year. We have daytime or evening trainings available - choose whichever fits your schedule.
