How does Willamette Valley Hospice help grieving families?

Grieving the death of a loved one is difficult work. Often bereaved people need extra support as they experience the world for the first time without the presence of their loved one. Grief support can help a bereaved person make the journey through grief with a greater sense of hope, strength and connection with the world around them.

"I learned that others are going through the same feelings as me."

Bereavement support is an essential part of hospice care. Continuing contact and support is available to caregivers, following the death of a loved, through Willamette Valley Hospice Bereavement Services. Short term grief counseling for children, families and adults is also possible. Six week grief support groups for children, adults and families are offered throughout the year. Please see our calendar for dates, locations and fees for our grief support services.

"Since joining the grief group, my grief has become more bearable; I feel like I'll make it through eventually."                        - Willamette Valley Hospice bereavement group participant
